Five for June

Hi guys! I can’t believe we’re in June already… I love this month, I’m a big fan of sun and heat and longer days spent reading and lazying around and we haven’t had much of these lately… So let’s say welcome to the warmer days!

Here are my five for June…

Getting important answers

I should get my mutation result after June 6th. I can’t wait! I’ve been told it’s 90% sure but I’m so superstitious, I feel like if I talk about it too much then it won’t happen. So I’ve been tiptoeing around when telling our families and friends because let’s be real, I would be gutted if this didn’t work out. Please keep your fingers crossed for me!

I’m back… In my Filofax

I don’t know what to say… I saw pictures on Instagram… People looked way more organised than me… I caved in. I whipped out my trusty Nude Patent and I’ve not looked back since. I’m using a mix of the classic GTD system and a bit of Bullet Journaling. I like the clean look, the fact that it’s easier to find things thanks to the tabs, and mostly I missed the ability to take out pages and add more wherever and whenever I need to. But I won’t make the same mistake twice and tell you I’m staying in there for good. You never know…

Smells like the end…

After the upcoming four day week-end (let’s make this the norm, okay?), there will be only three weeks of class left. Then it’s exams week for our year 10 students and off they go. Given the fact grading has already stopped, most kids feel on holidays already, and let’s be honest, ME TOO. So we’re saying goodbye to traditional lesson plans and reintroducing our yearbook unit, Plickers quizz and fun activities to make work a little more bearable in these final days of school. Wish me luck…

Getting ready to move

I feel like I’ve been talking about it at lenght in my last post, but hey, I’m excited! If everything goes according to plan, we will be moving on July 1st. Which means… June will be our last month in this flat and we have five weeks to get everything ready!

We have decided to stay at our parents’ for the summer because we need to buy another car and saving up on rent seems like the sensible thing to do. We’ll see if we actually follow through on that one, though… Living with your parents or in-laws at 28 is NOT on my « fun » list.

100 Baby challenge

Finally, more of a light hearted topic… I’ve been religisouly watching Kelsey Impicciche’s The Sims 4 100 Baby Challenge videos on Youtube and let me tell you I’m HOOKED. So much so that I’ve decided to try my hand at it… I know, I’m crazy, but hey, we’ve turned all of our grades in and we still have three weeks of school to go… Anyway, I’m at baby number 6 and God, this is HARD. The toddlers are a major pain. I can’t wait to have teenagers to help around the house. Shout out to the baby daddies for helping out (even though they look disgusted every time they change a nappy. This game is far too realistic).

So! What are you up to in June? Let me know!
